Chelone l. 'Hot Lips'

Chelone 'Hot Lips' is a perennial native to the southeastern United States. It has unique pink flowers resembling turtles, which bloom from late summer into early fall. The individual blooms are about an inch long and are elongated with two lips, resembling the head of a turtle. The plant thrives in sunny moist or boggy sites, moist partly shaded woodlands, or in frequently irrigated gardens.
