Give these plants plenty of water and afternoon shade; they can be grown in full shade, but foliage color is more intense with some sun. Elephant ears can be grown in up to 6-inches of standing water, making them an ideal emergent plant for water gardens or for planting in streambeds. These are frost-sensitive plants.
