Begonia Bada Bing plants can tolerate most types of soil, but do best in somewhat fertile, well-drained soil. Their thick, waxy leaves help the plants retain water, which makes the plants somewhat drought-tolerant. For best results, plant in part shade. In mostly shady areas, these begonias will bear fewer blooms.
