Echinacea 'Purple Emperor'

‘Purple Emperor’ Cone Flower produces large, fragrant, saturated magenta purple blossoms on sturdy, well-branched stems that are held in perfect proportion to the bushy clump of deep green foliage.  As the flowers age, the tips of the petals turn a bit lighter pink but the center remains a bright magenta color.

Praised for their cheerful brightly colored flowers, coneflowers are a mainstay in today's garden. Be sure to leave some spent blooms on the plants in the fall because their seeds provide winter food for finches and other birds.
