Evolvulus is a genus of flowering plants in the Convolvulaceae family, commonly known as dwarf morning glories. These plants are characterized by their non-twining stems, smooth-edged leaves, and bell-shaped corollas. They produce flowers that can be round and flat or bell-shaped, and the fruit is a capsule containing 1 to 4 seeds. The genus name Evolvulus comes from the Latin word meaning "to unroll," reflecting their non-vining form. There are about 100 species of Evolvulus, most of which are native to the Americas
